Senior scout and tree met and became acquainted. Mr. Lojovich once again brought his boat to camp and provided various boating activities for some scouts. Friday - Numerous scouts participated in the Polar Bear Swim, Foxfire Hike, Camp Cook off, Lumberjack Games, and Beach Bash. Drew Keller, our camp commissioner, visited and inspected equipment for an early checkout on Saturday. All scouts and adults took part in the final troop campfire of the week. The Troop took first place in the Lumberjack Games and first place in the Beach Bash events competition among the other troops in camp. Troop 501 also took second place in the Camp Cook off with a couple of our scouts cooking up a great treat for the judges. For five senior scouts this was their last year of camp with us. They will be missed next year. The Troop wishes each of them the best in the future, hopes they all stay in touch and that they continue to live by the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Saturday - Up early to pack and break down the campsite. Policing the campsite was a challenge this year. The commissioner came for the final checkout inspection and to say his goodbyes. The troop received only one "strike" in commissioner baseball for the Tomahawk 2003 season.
